I unexpectedly uncovered some collages I had made while pregnant with Charlotte and knew I needed to resolve how to get light/relationship of both sides. Since having her in my life was unexpected and joyous the rainbow image fit. Rainbows are now a symbol of embracing the diversity of people of the world, sharing time, resources, and disagreements.
Stanley Shetka pulp, pressed, and dried recycled pulp into linear board feet to construct the frame for this screen. Panels were made by Amanda using wet and dry techniques out of kozo, suminagashi, and acrylic paint. 6’ x 5’ x 4”.
